China’s coal imports down 45.3 percent in January-February

China imported 15.26 million mt of coal in February this year, declining by 9.06 percent month on month, according to data issued by the Chinese customs authorities on March 8. In the January-February period, China imported 32.04 million mt of coal, down 45.3 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, China exported 430,000 mt of coal in February this year, up 87.0 percent month on month. In the January-February period, China exported 660,000 mt of coal, down 46.4 percent year on year.
