According to the data released by the Chinese Iron and Steel Association (CISA), the average aggregate daily crude steel output of steelmakers in China who are CISA members was 1.417 million mt in the last ten days of September. Meanwhile, in the same period the average aggregate daily crude steel output of all steelmakers in China is expected to reach 1.678 million mt for the period, up 112,000 mt (or 8.6 percent) and 131,000 mt (or 8.5 percent) compared to the September 11-20 period.
Analysts have attributed the increased output in late September to the resumption of production activity by many Chinese steel mills.
