China’s auto sales reach 2.0345 million units in January

In January this year, total automotive vehicle sales in the Chinese domestic market amounted to 2,034,500 units, rising by 12.41 percent month on month and up 46.38 percent year on year, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
 
In particular, in the given month China’s passenger car sales volume amounted to 1,725,500 units, indicating a month-on-month increase of 17.95 percent and up 48.68 percent compared to January last year, while the commercial vehicle sales volume totaled 309,000 units, indicating a month-on-month decrease of 10.97 percent but up 34.75 percent year on year.
