China sees average daily steel output rise in Sept.
The average daily output of
Chinas steel products in September showed mild gains over August.
In September 2005,
Chinas crude steel output was 30.3571 million tons, up 22.30 percent year on year. The average daily crude steel output was 1.0119 million tons, up 29440 tons month on month.
Pig iron output was 28.0368 million tons, up 23.70 percent year on year. The average daily
pig iron output was 934600 tons, up 28400 tons compared to August.
Output of finished steel products was 32.2518 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 21.10 percent. Average daily output of finished steel products was 1.075 million tons, up 20400 tons month on month and hitting a new high in the process.
In September, output of color
coated, light standard rail, extremely heavy
plate, cold rolled sheet, heavy steel
plate, and hot rolled narrow strip steel increased 35 percent year on year.
Rebar output was 5.8897 million tons, up 919200 tons, or 18.50 percent, year on year.
Wire rod output was 5.1016 tons, up 442800 tons, or 9.50 percent, year on year.
Medium
plate output was 1.4574 million tons, up 121500 tons, or 9.10 percent, year on year. Compared to August, however, output fell 114100 tons, or 7.3 percent.
HR coil output was 2.9356 million tons, up 366300 tons, or 14.30 percent, year on year. Compared to August, however, output was down 441200 tons, or 13.06 percent. CR sheet output was 822900 tons, up 236200 tons, or 40.30 percent, year on year. Output also grew compared to August, up 107000 tons, or 14.9 percent.
