China appeals WTO decision over US electrical steel imports

On Friday, China appealed the World Trade Organization's mid-June ruling that said China placed illegal antidumping duties on US electrical steel imports into the country. On June 15, the WTO ruled that China violated international rules when it blocked imports of grain-oriented flat rolled electrical from the US from entering the country. The two main US producers of the product are Ohio-based AK Steel and Pennsylvania-based ATI Allegheny Ludlum. AK Steel lauded the WTO's decision back in June.

However, China is now challenging the ruling at the WTO regarding "certain issues of law and legal interpretation."
