Chile’s rebar sales increase in March, decline in Q1

Chilean rebar sales rose 1.5 percent in March, year-on-year, according to data released on Tuesday by the nation’s civil construction chamber, CChC.

Rebar sales in March totaled 43,190 mt, 1.5 up, year-on-year, but 1 percent down when compared to the 43,631 mt of the product shipped in February.

As for Q1, rebar sales reached 129,831 mt, 4.5 percent down, year-on-year.
