Chilean steelmaker CAP Acero, part of the CAP Group, estimates a $13 million net loss for 2017 as it struggles to diminish its losses.

The estimate was unveiled by the company in January in a board meeting, but was only made available this week by Chilean newspaper El Mercurio.

The estimate considers undisclosed price and macroeconomic assumptions. As for the full year of 2016, CAP Acero posted a $19.2 million net loss.
