Spanish long steel producer Celsa has announced that it has decided not to give quotations on Thursday and Friday of the current week, due to the current high volatility of raw material prices.

According to the company’s statement, during the last three weeks the prices of raw materials have increased and now exceed its quotations for its products.

Meanwhile, Celsa also stated that its customers have informed it about their ongoing renegotiation of contracts previously agreed with other suppliers due to the fact that the current situation is not sustainable. Celsa indicated that it will be paying careful attention to this situation.
