Statistics Canada announced Friday that the unemployment rate in Canada fell 0.3 percent in November to 7.6 percent from 7.9 percent in October. Total employment levels were up 15,200 in November, after an increase of 3,000 jobs in October.

November's increase is attributed to the growing number of youth who left the workforce last month. Youth (ages 15-24) participation in the job market dropped to 63.2 percent, a 0.9 percent decline from October levels.
