Canada’s housing starts increase in February

The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) reported Thursday that the seasonally adjusted annual rate of housing starts was 201,100 units in February, up from 198,100 units in January. Urban starts rose by 3.4 percent to an annual rate of 182,800 units last months while rural starts were estimated at an annual rate of 18,3000 units.
