Canada initiates expiry review on AD duty on plate from China

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has announced that it has initiated an expiry review against the antidumping duty on certain hot-rolled carbon steel plate and high strength low alloy plate from China.

The current 77.0 percent antidumping duty on the given products from China will expire on August 8, 2023.

The Canada Border Services Agency will make a decision no later than December 7, 2023, and will issue a Statement of Reasons by December 22, 2023.

The 36 products subject to antidumping duties currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers starting with 7208.
