The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced that it has initiated a review regarding the antidumping (AD) order on imports of certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan to Canada.

According to the CBSA, Canada's Minister of Finance has requested the CBSA to review the final determination of dumping and the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) to review its threat of injury finding in respect of the mentioned products imported from Taiwan following the World Trade Organization's (WTO) decision that certain aspects of the CBSA’s final determination of dumping of the given imports to be inconsistent with the WTO Antidumping Agreement.

On November 9, 2012, the CBSA imposed antidumping (AD) duties on certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan, India, Oman, South Korea, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The CBSA will conclude its review by September 29, 2017. The CITT will then conduct a review of its threat of injury finding.
