CAAM: China’s passenger vehicle output up 8.06 percent in October

In October this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 1.8997 million units and 1.9369 million units, increasing by 17.21 percent and 10.60 percent month on month, while rising by 8.06 percent and 13.34 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the January-October period this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China totaled 16.5060 million units and 16.4847 million units, up 2.20 percent and 3.89 percent year on year, respectively.

As for commercial vehicles, domestic output and sales volumes in October amounted to 289,000 units and 284,700 units, up 5.64 percent and 4.06 percent month on month, while increasing by 0.91 percent and 2.29 percent year on year, respectively. In the January-October period, domestic output and sales of commercial vehicles totaled 2.7743 million units and 2.7934 million units, down 11.25 percent and 10.58 percent year on year, respectively.
