In May this year, China’s auto export volume totaled 56,000 units, up 4.5 percent month on month, while decreasing by 20.9 percent year on year, including 36,000 passenger vehicles and 20,000 commercial vehicles, up 5.2 percent and down 0.7 percent month on month, while rising by 5.2 percent and declining by 39.2 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-May period of the current year, China’s auto export volume totaled 246,000 units, down 22.2 percent year on year, including 157,000 passenger vehicles and 89,000 commercial vehicles, down 10.3 percent and 36.9 percent year on year, respectively.
