The Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional has announced its intention to sell part or all of its Namisa iron ore mine by early October.

The final bids for the mine should be submitted to the company by mid-September, while the decision on whether to sell all or just part of the mine in question will be decided by early October.

The Namisa iron ore mine, which is located in Minas Gerais state, produces around 7.5 million mt of iron ore annually.
