Brazilian iron ore exports to China increase 10.3 percent in 2014

Brazilian exports of iron ore to China increased 10.3 percent in 2014, year-on-year, local media reported, reaching 170.0 million mt.

Brazil is China’s second-largest iron ore supplier, accounting for 18.3 percent of China’s total imports in 2014. In 2013, that portion reached 19 percent.

Australian exports to China increased 31.6 percent to 548.4 million mt and accounted for 58.8 percent of China’s total demand for the product in 2014.
