Brazil machinery and equipment industry sees lower revenues in July

Revenues of the Brazilian machinery and equipment industry fell 20.3 percent in July, year-on-year, a trade group said.

According to machinery and equipment association Abimaq, domestic sales reached BRL 5.7 billion ($2.54 billion) in July, down 6.1 percent month on month.

From January to July, the revenue of the segment reached BRL 40.8 billion ($18.1 billion), 14.5 down year on year.

Exports, however, increased by 20.6 percent in July to $1.23 billion.
