Borcelik revamped HDG line

Turkish producer Borcelik increased the capacity and the quality of its second hot dipped galvanized line with the modernization investment started in February 2006 in an effort to meet the demand of home appliances and building sector. The revamped second hot dip galvanized line started operations in May 2006, increasing the demand for thick galvanized production capacity, which developing Turkish industry needs, to 70,000/ton per annum. The new modernization investment allowed the company to use a new technology in its second galvanizing line rather than the previous “flux” technology. The modernization project also enables the company to increase the quality and homogeneity of coated surfaces, to improve the lock-forming of coated surfaces, to control more sensitive coated amount and to produce materials in thicknesses ranging between 2.00-4.00 mm.
