BMZ produces one millionth metric ton of steel at modernized CCM-2

Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has stated that in March this year the one millionth metric ton of steel was produced at the modernized continuous casting machine No. 2 (CCM-2) at its steel melting shop No. 2. This event brings the CCM-2 closer to its annual designed capacity, which increased to 1.2 million mt after modernization.

During the reconstruction which was finished in February 2014, steel casting speed increased to 4.3 meters per minute.
