BMZ announces results for H1

Belarusian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ), the largest Belarus steelmaker, produced 1.09 million of billets, 872,500 tons of finished steel products and 100,400 tons of other steel products in the first-half year of 2006. BMZ's profit from sales increased 9.2 percent year on year to $566.2 million in January-June of 2006.
