BHP Billiton appoints new president for stainless steel materials division

Australian iron ore giant BHP Billiton announced on February 25 that it has appointed Glenn Kellow as president of its stainless steel materials division effective from April 1, 2010.

Mr. Kellow is currently president and chief operating officer of BHP's New Mexico Coal operations and has served in this role since April 2007. He has been with the company for 25 years and has held a number of senior finance roles.

Jac Fourie will succeed Mr. Kellow at New Mexico Coal.

BHP Billiton's stainless steel materials division primarily services the stainless steel industries through a wide range of high-quality nickel products. In addition, BHP Billiton supplies nickel and cobalt to other markets including the specialty alloy, foundry, chemicals, and refractory material industries and the intermediate nickel market.
