Benxi Steel raises flats prices for October

On September 11, Liaoning Province-based Benxi Steel announced upward adjustments to its ex-factory flats prices for October. The details are as follows:

1. HR coils

Prices have risen RMB 350/mt ($47/mt) from the previous levels. As a result, the price of Q235 5.75 mm x 1,250 mm is now at RMB 3,630/mt ($483/mt).

2. CR coils

Prices have been increased RMB 350/mt ($47/mt) from September levels. Following the adjustment, the price of ST12 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm box sheet is at RMB 4,390/mt ($584/mt).

3. Galvanized coils

The ex-factory prices are up by RMB 100/mt ($13/mt). Thus, the price of ST01Z 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm is RMB 4,630/mt ($616/mt).

4. Color coated

The prices have increased by RMB 200/mt ($27/mt), with the new price of TST01 0.45 mm (white, blue and gray) at RMB 6,000/mt ($798/mt).

All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of September 11, 2007.
