Benxi Steel increases output of thin hot rolled specifications

In order to meet market demand, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Benxi Steel has stepped up efforts in the development of thin specifications of hot rolled steel products on its 1880 hot rolled production line.

In April, Benxi Steel produced 23,000 mt of hot rolled steels with thicknesses below 2.2 mm, accounting for 50 percent of overall hot rolled output. In May, the steelmaker's output of hot rolled products up to 2.0 mm thickness reached 50,000 mt, constituting 85 percent of total production.
