Beiman Special Steel sees increased steel output in 2011

According to Heilongjiang Province-based Chinese steel company Beiman Special Steel Co., a subsidiary of Dongbei Special Steel Group Co., its crude steel output reached 670,000 mt in 2011, up 11.58 percent, while its finished steel output for the year totaled 610,000 mt, up 13.86 percent, both year on year.
 
Meanwhile, Beiman Special Steel also stated that it has continued to focus on development and production of high value-added products. In 2011, the company's orders of shipbuilding steel indicated a sharp increase. In 2011 up to September inclusive, orders received by Beiman Special Steel for CK35 and S45SU grade steels for fuel injection pumps used in shipbuilding doubled to 500 mt.
 
Despite the difficult global economic situation, Beiman Special Steel has registered an increase in its exports. Its total special steel product exports in 2011 amounted to 227,003 mt, up 45.95 percent year on year.
