Baotou Steel Xichuang builds 100 mm diameter seamless pipe facility

Chinese steelmaker Baotou Steel Xichuang Industrial Co. Ltd has started the construction of its new seamless pipe production line, capable of producing seamless pipes of 100 mm in diameter, and which will have a designed annual capacity of 100,000 mt.

The new seamless pipe line, which is to be built with a total investment of RMB 140 million ($20 million), is expected to come on stream in 2010.
