Baosteel orders slab caster from Danieli

Chinese steel producer Baosteel ordered a slab caster from equipment supplier Danieli Davy Distington. The caster is the second caster Baosteel has ordered from Danieli for the last six months. The slab caster, which will be supplied at Baosteel No. 3 in Shanghai, will have a production capacity of 1.5 million tons annually. The single-strand machine will produce specialty steels, structural steels, and steels for vessels and shipbuilding.
