Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has announced that to date it has delivered six shipments or 100 km of large diameter longitudinally welded pipes to the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) Project in Australia of Queensland Gas Company, a business of UK-based BG Group.

In March this year, Baosteel signed a contract to supply 207,000 mt of gas pipes and X70 grade tubes for the pipeline project in question.

It is expected that production of the total contracted volume will be completed by the end of March 2011.
