Baosteel and WISCO to face inspections in China’s crackdown on graft

On February 11, Wang Qishan, secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of China's Communist Party, announced a round of inspections into 26 state-owned enterprises in an extension to the Communist Party's crackdown on corruption.

The first round of inspections will involve 13 teams and will audit 26 state-owned enterprises. Major Chinese steelmakers Baoshan Iron and Steel Group (Baosteel) and Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) are listed among the 26 state-owned enterprises in question.
