Baogang Group exports large volumes of rail steel to the Americas

Inner Mongolia region-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel (Baogang Group), which is also the biggest rare earth metals producer in China, has revealed that it has started exporting large volumes of rail steel to American countries.

115RE rail steel is the most widely used category in American countries. Baogang Group succesfully developed production of 115RE in 2009. In 2010, Baogang signed export contracts for the products in question with Brazil, Mexico and other American countries, with the export volume to these destinations to date reaching 59,000 mt.

In 2009 Baogang Group's annual crude steel output exceeded 10 million mt.
