On September 24, Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) announced that its rail and beam plant has delivered 1,800 mt of 300 mm x 300 mm H-beam to South Korea, marking the first time Baogang has exported H-beam.
The exported products were produced at the rolled steel production line No. 2 in Baogang's rail and beam plant. The rolled steel production line No. 2, which was put into production in January of the current year, constituted a major part of Baogang's structural adjustment project. In the first eight months of this year, Baogang's rail and beam plant produced 17 new specifications of H-beam.
