In late July (July 21-30) this year, the average prices of 16-25 mm HRB400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plates, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,115.8/mt ($504.2/mt), RMB 3,227.3/mt ($522.2/mt), RMB 3,383.6/mt ($547.5/mt), 3,439.8/mt ($556.6/mt), RMB 4,073.5/mt ($659.2/mt) and RMB 3,369.9/mt ($545.3/mt), down RMB 18/mt ($2.9/mt), RMB 18/mt ($2.9/mt), RMB 10.8/mt ($1.79/mt), RMB 9.5/mt ($1.54/mt), RMB 37.3/mt ($6.04/mt) and RMB 4.8/mt ($0.78/mt), indicating respective declines of 0.6 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.9 percent and 0.1 percent, compared to prices in mid-July (July 11-20), as announced by
China's National Bureau of Statistics on August 4.
