Average HRB 400 rebar price in China increases in late April

In late April (April 21-30) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,976.8/mt ($458.0/mt), RMB 3,030.7/mt ($466.3/mt), RMB 3,061.1/mt ($470.9/mt), RMB 3,242.8/mt ($498.9/mt), RMB 3,348.0/mt ($515.1/mt) and RMB 2,943.4/mt ($452.8/mt), up RMB 226.7/mt ($34.9/mt), RMB 268.9/mt ($41.4/mt), RMB 219.1/mt ($33.7/mt), RMB 256.7/mt ($39.5/mt), RMB 256.9/mt ($39.5/mt) and RMB 258.6/mt ($39.8/mt), increasing by 8.2 percent, 9.7 percent, 7.7 percent, 8.6 percent, 8.3 percent and 9.6 percent, respectively, compared to prices in mid- April (April 11-20) this year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
