Chicago, Illinois-based Atlas Tube, a division of JMC Steel Group, announced Tuesday that it is reopening its hollow structural sections (HSS) manufacturing facility in Blytheville, Arkansas.  The mill will begin regularly scheduled mill rollings in September.

The mill was previously idled in 2008, and according to a company press release, "the decision to re-open this plant will allow Atlas Tube to provide high quality customer service, reduce product lead times, and enhance delivery performance to customers in the Southeast and Southwest regions of the country." Atlas will produce round, square, and rectangle HSS in Arkansas.
