Atlas Iron’s iron ore shipments up 4% in June quarter from prior quarter

Australian iron ore miner Atlas Iron has announced that it shipped 2.1 million wet metric tons of iron ore in the fourth quarter ended on June 30 of the financial year 2017-18, rising by four percent compared to the previous quarter. In the June quarter, the company's iron ore production amounted to 2.46 million mt, up 20 percent quarter on quarter.

Meanwhile, in the full financial year of 2017-18, Atlas Iron shipped 9.2 million wet metric tons of iron ore, decreasing by 36 percent from the previous financial year, in line with the company’s iron ore shipment guidance for the full financial year.
