Ashinskiy buys 75 percent stake in Amet Group Trade House

On December 17, Russian steel producer Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works (Ashinskiy) became the owner of a 75 percent stake in Moscow-based Amet Group Trade House, its official trade representative company, the Interfax-Ural news agency has reported.

According to Ashinskiy's Q3 2009 report, the steelmaker owns shares in the stocks of 18 companies in the Chelyabinsk region, in Moscow, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, of which 12 are specialized in raw material supplies and metal scrap purchases.

The financial details have not been disclosed.
