Argentinian auto production declines 25.1 percent in February

Argentinian auto production in February declined 25.1 percent, year-on-year, to 34,174 units, the nation’s automotive industry association, Adefa, said. In the month-on-month analysis, cars output rose 92.2 percent.

Domestic sales in the second month of the year rose 19.3 percent, year-on-year, and 5.3 percent, month-on-month, to 52,593 units.

Auto exports in the month of February declined 41.5 percent, year-on-year, to 14,178 units, but surged 264.7 percent in the month-on-month comparison.

As for the accumulated period of January and February, auto output and domestic sales reached 51.959 and 102,528 units, 27.1 percent down, year-on-year, but 31.1 percent up in the same period, respectively. As for cars exports, the two-month period analysis showed a 43.3 percent decline, year-on-year, with exports totaling 18,066 units.
