Argentina's crude steel output up slightly in Jan-Oct

According to the report released by Argentina's steel chamber, in October this year the country's crude steel production was up 3.18 percent month on month and increased by 15.37 percent year on year, amounting to 477,300 metric tons. Production in the first 10 months of the year totaled 4.28 million metric tons, 0.38 percent higher than the 4.27 million metric tons recorded in the same period last year.

In October this year, Argentina's production of hot rolled steel reached 491,400 metric tons, up 4.91 percent month on month and rising by 27.30 percent compared to October 2012. In the first 10 months of the current year, Argentina's hot rolled steel production totaled 4.30 million metric ton, up 3.13 percent year on year.

In October of the current year, the country's cold rolled flat steel production increased by 6.27 percent month on month and by 9.15 percent year on year to 140,700 metric tons, while output increased by 7.23 percent year on year to 1.27 million metric tons in the first 10 months.
