Argentina’s auto output increases 15.5 percent in August from July

Argentina’s auto production output in August this year totaled 43,552 units, rising by 15.5 percent month on month and down 8.5 percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.
 
According to Adefa, in August Argentinian auto exports increased by 27.4 percent compared to the previous month and were down by 19.7 percent compared to August 2015 to 16,486 units. Meanwhile, car sales in the country in August totaled 63,952, increasing by 11.5 percent year on year and growing by 21.4 percent month on month.
 
The nation’s automotive industry produced 305,296 units in the January-August period of the current year, 13.1 percent less than in the same period of the previous year. Likewise, exports also declined in the first eight months of this year to 118,058 units, down 30.5 percent year on year.
