ArcelorMittal USA announced Wednesday that it replaced its CEO and created a new North American Flat-Rolled Segment to oversee all but one local facility.

Executive Vice President of Operations Andy Harshaw has replaced Mike Rippey, and all local operations will fall under the new segment, except the Indiana Bar Co. long-product facility in East Chicago, according to company spokeswoman Mary Beth Holdford.

ArcelorMittal said it is establishing the North American flat-rolled segment to better coordinate operations in the United States, ArcelorMittal Dofasco in Hamilton, Ontario, and the new, highly advanced AM/NS Calvert finishing facility that can produce up to 5.3 million tons of flat-rolled carbon steel products a year. The steelmaker's North American headquarters will remain in Chicago.
