ArcelorMittal to supply steel beams for Pakistan’s tallest building

Global steel giant ArcelorMittal has announced that it will supply 2,000 mt of steel beams and 72,000 sqm of decking for the Bahria Icon Tower in Karachi, Pakistan.
 
The €2.8 million order was signed in early September and the first delivery of beams is planned for November 2012. The 2,000 mt of W-beams will come from ArcelorMittal's Long Carbon operations in Luxembourg.
 
At 260 meters high and with 62 floors, the Bahria Tower will become the tallest building in Pakistan when completed in 2014.
