ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Ostrava (AMTPO), the biggest producer of tubes and pipes in the Czech Republic, has announced that it has launched the production of tubes with polypropylene coating for transportation of drinking water, oil and gas.

The three-layer polypropylene coating protects seamless or welded steel pipes against corrosion and can prevent mechanical, thermal or chemical damage during transport, storage or installation of tubes. Polypropylene coating also has superior resistance to high temperatures.

AMTPO has already started booking the first orders for the new product.
