ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output up 19 percent in January-July

In the January-August period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 4.2 million mt, up 16.4 percent year on year.

In addition, in the first eight months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 12.5 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 3.6 million mt. During the period in question, pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 19.2 percent year on year to 3.7 million mt.

Meanwhile, in August alone crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 2.3 percent to 544,200 mt, output of finished steel went up by 4.1 percent to 496,100 mt, and production of pig iron moved up by five percent to 485,300 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
