ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output up 17 percent in H1

In the January-June period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 3.1153 million mt, up 17.5 percent year on year.

In addition, in the first six months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 13.6 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 2.6835 million mt. During the period in question, pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 20.1 percent year on year to 2.7307 million mt.

Meanwhile, in June alone crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 58.2 percent to 566,700 mt, output of finished steel went up by 48.2 percent to 491,700 mt, and production of pig iron moved up by 61 percent to 501,300 mt, all on year-on-year basis. For ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih June was one of its peak production months in H1 because the company managed to attract good order volumes from its traditional market base.
