ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output down 10% in Jan-Apr

In the January-April period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 1.869 million mt, down 10 percent year on year, as announced by the company.

In addition, in the first four months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 9.97 percent decrease year on year in its finished steel output to 1.6559 million mt, while its pig iron production in the given period declined by 9.05 percent year on year to 1.6521 million mt.

Meanwhile, in April alone, crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih decreased by 2.65 percent to 462,000 mt, output of finished steel went down by 18.2 percent to 405,900 mt, and production of pig iron declined by 0.3 percent to 410,000 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
