ArcelorMittal's Romanian unit ArcelorMittal Galati has announced that it plans to increase its presence in the Romanian wind turbine market by adjusting its production according to the requirements of the industry and by improving service quality and delivery terms.

ArcelorMittal Galati currently supplies heavy plates for wind turbines manufacturers in Greece, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, India and Turkey and aims to cooperate with local companies that build wind farms in Romania. This cooperation could provide shorter delivery times for local customers.

Steel grades produced by ArcelorMittal Galati are used in the manufacture of the most important parts of a turbine such as propeller, nacelle, rotor shaft, the tower, and the foundation and building works.
