ArcelorMittal, the world's largest integrated metals and mining company, has announced its acquisition of the outstanding 60 percent of shares in Rolanfer Recyclage S.A. (Rolanfer). However, the total cost of the acquisition has not been disclosed by the parties concerned.

Rolanfer, a French scrap processor located in Yutz on the border with Luxembourg, operates a shredder at the port of Illange and delivers its production to ArcelorMittal's Luxembourg-based sites.

The acquisition gives ArcelorMittal 100 percent control over Rolanfer and will allow it to secure supplies of scrap metal for its operations in the region.

Rolanfer's gross turnover reached €13 million in 2007, when it shipped approximately 86,000 mt of scrap metal.
