Anyang’s 11 steelmakers to merge into four by 2020

The municipal government of Anyang in China's Henan Province has announced that by 2020 the 11 steelmakers in Anyang will be merged into a total of just four steel producers. Furthermore, the steel industry in Anyang will form a complete industrial chain from raw materials supply and iron-smelting to rolling and deep processing, with the main annual operational revenues of the local steel industry expected to reach RMB 150.0 billion ($22.0 billion) by the end of the given year.
