Angang starts production at galvanized steel sheet facility

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Iron and Steel Group Co. (Ansteel) has announced that the galvanized automotive sheet joint workshop established by its subsidiary Angang Steel Co. and Anshan-ThyssenKrupp Galvanized Steel Sheet Co. (TAGAL) has successfully produced 500 mt of hot dip galvanized (HDG) steel sheets for the automotive sector, marking the start of mass production of the products in question.

The joint workshop includes the upgraded galvanizing line No. 4 from Angang’s cold rolling plant. Upgrading took place in October and November of the current year.
