Angang likely to take over Anyang Steel

As reported by media sources in China, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation (Angang) is likely to take over Anyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., the biggest steel mill in Henan Province, as part of its industrial restructuring in central China.

Top officials at the two companies are reported to have reached an agreement on the takeover of Anyang Steel. However, no detailed information has yet been issued.

Angang is the second largest steel mill in China by production capacity, second only to Baosteel.
