The Russian coke producer Altai-koks, a subsidiary of Russian steelmaker NLMK, plans to increase its monthly output of coke to 180,000-200,000 metric tons, following the successful implementation of anti-crisis measures.

Altai-koks is to deliver the main part of its coke supplies to NLMK.

In 2008, Altai-koks produced 3.5 million mt of coke - down eight percent year on year. The decrease in its production results was due to the decline of coke consumption by steelmakers in the fourth quarter of 2008.
